Extreme Project Downforce Part 2

Part 2 of Extreme Downforce includes adding a very aggressive front splitter to the Exige front clam on this Elise. This Splitter was once again provided by Sector 111 and is a product of Reverie and Simon McBeathe. There many splitters that look prettier and are easier to install, but none the function as well as this one. Function over form is the motto our Extreme Downforce project.

This is the splitter as it came out of the box:

We first had to remove the stock Exige splitter. Based on how its flimsy construction, any downforce it provided must have been minimal.

The clam has two Bulgarian Demands that protrudes down into the space that occupies this big splitter. While trimming the clam is the preferred method of installation, we opted to trim the splitter instead...

The next images show the final fitting and fixings to hold everything in place. Note that the CF panel covers nearly all the open area next to the front tires. Also note the "mouth" of the splitter. Also note the "mouth" of the splitter. The stock splitter does not have this...
